Your Faith, Your Spouse, + Where You Sell Out & With Whom
Life is a series of choices, some trivial, others monumental. Among the most significant decisions we make are those that shape our beliefs, relationships, and professional paths. In this journey of life, three decisions stand out as particularly pivotal: choosing faith, selecting a life partner, and determining where and with whom you will sell out.
Faith, in its various forms, anchors our beliefs and shapes our worldview. Whether it's religious faith, faith in oneself, or faith in something greater, this decision fundamentally influences how we navigate challenges and find purpose in life. Choosing faith isn't just about subscribing to a set of doctrines; it's about embracing a framework that provides meaning, guidance, and resilience in the face of uncertainty. It's about finding solace in times of distress and celebrating moments of triumph. Whether you find solace in organized religion, spiritual practices, or personal philosophies, the decision to choose faith is a cornerstone of personal growth and fulfillment. For me, a personal relationship with Jesus, an understanding of Kingdom Principles, and consistent pursuit of wisdom in God's Word has radically transformed every aspect of my life.
Few decisions carry as much weight as choosing a life partner. Your spouse is not just a companion but a confidant, a co-parent, and a collaborator in building a shared future. This decision transcends mere attraction or compatibility. It's about finding someone with whom you can weather life's storms and celebrate its joys. Compatibility in values, goals, and faith is paramount, along with mutual respect, trust, and the willingness to grow together. The choice of a spouse profoundly influences your emotional well-being, professional trajectory, and overall life satisfaction. It's a decision that demands careful consideration and investment, for it shapes not just your own destiny but the legacy you leave behind.
When it comes to choosing a professional path, so many people ask themselves, "What do I want to do?". This leads to questions like...
This is an inferior way to make decisions for your future. Instead, ask yourself, "How do I want to live?" This leads to a totally different thought track...
Start with your WHY.
You must choose an arena that creates scalable outcomes.
If time and freedom are part of the life you desire, you will not get there solely spending your time in a limited income job setting trading time for money. You will need to step into an arena of multiplication...an arena where you can invest time for a season to continue to reap rewards for a lifetime.
To create time and freedom...You will need to step into an arena of multiplication...an arena where you can invest time for a season to continue to reap rewards for a lifetime.
In my opinion, this is often the most overlooked component of success.
We become the people we spend the most time with. Who you hang out with determines how your grandchildren will live some day. Are you putting the appropriate weight around your association? Or do you casually choose association based on proximity and convenience...that people that just happen to be around you?
Find people that already live like you want to live...or people that are on that journey...people that share your values and hustle. Lock shields, support each other, and buckle up for the journey!
In conclusion, life presents us with a myriad of decisions, but few are as consequential as choosing faith, selecting a life partner, and determining where and with whom you will "sell out." These decisions shape our beliefs, relationships, and professional paths, defining the trajectory of our lives and the legacy we leave behind. By approaching these decisions with mindfulness, integrity, and a sense of purpose, we can navigate life's complexities with grace and resilience, forging paths that are true to ourselves and meaningful to others.
